SIM Computer Sales Incorporated is seeking a Technical Engineer - Structured Cabling to design, implement, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage infrastructure including voice, data, CCTV, access control, and Wi-Fi. You will interpret drawings, coordinate with clients and project teams, and ensure safety compliance on site.

The role requires hands-on experience with copper and fiber cabling, and the ability to travel to project sites and work extended hours when needed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in structured cabling installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards.
• Experience with copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic cabling, including termination, splicing, testing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with patch panels, racks, switches, and cable management systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, floor plans, single-line diagrams, and layouts.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards and construction site protocols.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, test, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems for voice, data, CCTV and Wi-Fi.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams during installation.
• Interpret technical drawings and layouts to ensure correct installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry practices.
