Job summary

DMCI is seeking a Structural Engineer in Metro Manila to design soil protection for ongoing and future projects, and to develop structural concepts and specifications aligned with budget goals. The role requires hands-on detailing for housing, industrial and light commercial structures, and collaboration with consultants.

The candidate will analyze designs, explore alternative schemes for value engineering, and coordinate with teams to resolve structural issues while ensuring safety compliance

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years working experience as a Structural Engineer in construction.
• High level of analytical ability and inductive thinking; above-average management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares structural design of soil protection for ongoing projects, temporary facilities, housing, light commercials and industrial structures, water supply structures, warehouses and other small structures.
• Prepares structural conceptual designs and specifications for budgetary purposes.
• Analyzes, designs and recommends structure using alternative schemes for value engineering.
• Prepares structural details and calculations for housing projects using Acotec Wall System and Waffle Crete Panel System.
• Attends and provides recommendations to structural problems on ongoing or finished projects.
• Coordinates with consultants on the structural design of ongoing projects.
• Researches and presents latest construction technology and methods applicable to value engineering.
• Complies with safety policy and standard procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

1. Prepares structural design of soil protection for ongoing projects, temporary facilities, housing, light commercials and industrial structure, water supply structures, warehouses and other small structures ;
2. Prepares structural conceptual designs of structures and specifications for budgetary purposes;
3. Analyzes, designs and recommends structure using alternative schemes to suit company resources and for Value Engineering;
4. Prepares structural details and calculations for housing projects using Acotec Wall System and Waffle Crete Panel System;
5. Attends and gives recommendations to structural problems to ongoing or finished projects;
6. Coordinates with consultants with the structural design of ongoing projects;
7. Responsible in searching and presenting latest construction technology and methodology that may be applicable in Value Engineering of a project; and
8. Comply with safety policy and standard procedure.
