Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Philippine passport and driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews.
• Provide QA/QC work as needed.
• Prepare correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports; prepare final construction drawings for bids.
• Inspect installations and verify compliance with codes, design specs, and safety standards.
• Develop cost estimates and schedules; review preliminary and final designs for efficiency.
• Conduct detailed calculations to establish standards and specs.
• Use AutoCAD and coordination studies for load analyses.
• Support divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definitions.

Job description

We are seeking a part‑time Structural Engineer to support our clients in delivering design plans and inspection activities, with a strong emphasis on structural inspection in steel & bolting, and reinforced concrete. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers
• Provide QA/QC work as needed
• Prepare necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports and prepare final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractors
• Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with standard codes, design and equipment specifications and safety standards
• Develop cost estimates and time schedules, review and analyze preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy
• Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications
• Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies a load analysis) to perform engineering tasks as assigned.
• Support the different divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definition
• Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects, and serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers in the division
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

• Licensed Civil/Structural Engineer
• Preference will be given to those with a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and a member of the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP)
• Must have a minimum of 7 years of structural engineering experience
• Experience and familiarity with Federal building design criteria and construction guide specifications is an advantage
• Willing to learn and adapt to various situations; multi-tasker
• Adequate relevant training
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent oral and written communication and skills
• Possess excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new technologies
• Possess a Philippine passport and a driver’s License.
