Job summary

TYLin Philippines is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to support analysis, design, and delivery of structural projects across building and infrastructure assignments. You will develop designs and calculations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, constructible solutions.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Civil/Structural Eng, 4+ years of experience in steel and concrete design, and a Philippine Professional Engineer license or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required; a Master’s is preferred.
• Must be a registered professional engineer in the Philippines or affiliated with international engineering bodies.
• 4+ years of experience in designing steel and concrete buildings.
• Knowledge of seismic provisions and Philippines/AISC codes.
• Strong project management and client relationship skills, with good communication.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse disciplines in structural design delivery.
• Coordinate with clients and TYLin offices and partners.
• Review designs, plans, specs, and estimates following applicable design codes.
• Apply codes such as ASBI, PCI, AASHTO, ACI, AISC.
• Ensure drawings and calculations follow QA/QC procedures.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to support the analysis, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects across a range of building and infrastructure assignments. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing structural designs and calculations, preparing and reviewing technical documentation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver safe, efficient, and constructible solutions.

The role requires a solid understanding of structural engineering principles, applicable design codes and standards, and experience working with common structural materials such as reinforced concrete and structural steel. The ideal candidate can work independently on assigned design tasks while collaborating effectively with senior engineers, designers, BIM/CAD teams, and other disciplines to meet project requirements, schedules, and quality standards.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Work with diverse disciplines in horizontal and vertical structural design delivery, including but not limited to structural, civil, environmental, social, finance, and economics.
• Coordinate with clients and overseas TYLin offices and partners as well as local associates.
• Review engineering design, plans, specifications, and estimates following applicable design codes.
• Working knowledge of codes such as ASBI, PCI, AASHTO, ACI, AISC, etc.
• Assist in ensuring that drawings, calculations, and designs are by company production and design standards and strengths and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of project data for schedules, and assist in preparing schedules and budgets to monitor progress reports.
• Ability to provide quality control/quality assurance to ensure deliverables are of high quality and on time.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required, Masters preferred.
• Must be a registered professional engineer in the Philippines or a member of International Engineering Charters or Organizations.
• 4+ years’ experience in the design of steel and concrete buildings.
• Familiarity with special seismic provisions and steel connection design provisions of Philippines and AISC codes.
• Shall have solid project management skills, client relationship management, and adept in vertical and horizontal engineering principles and code.
• Requires knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Travel may be required.
• Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.
