Job summary

Pru Life UK in the Philippines seeks to strengthen Market and Competitive Intelligence to inform long-term strategic planning. You will lead qualitative research on the Philippine life insurance market, regulatory landscape, and competitor activities, translating insights into clear recommendations for senior leadership.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and prepare procurement and governance inputs as part of strategic planning cycles.

Strategy & Market Insights is responsible for driving qualitative strategic research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis that inform PLUK's long-term strategic agenda. Drawing on a management consulting background, this role leads the synthesis of market, regulatory, and macroeconomic insights into compelling strategic narratives and executive communications. The role is also a key contributor to the strategic planning cycle, cross-functional initiative management, and procurement preparation for strategic projects.

Market and Competitive Intelligence

Conduct deep qualitative research and analysis of the Philippine life insurance market, regulatory landscape (IC, BSP), macroeconomic trends, and competitor activities. Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership to support data-driven strategic decisions.

Strategic Planning and Execution Support

Support the annual and multi-year strategic planning cycle, including the formulation of corporate goals, business unit strategies, and key strategic priorities. Translate strategic ambitions into structured roadmaps and frameworks, and monitor execution across the organization in coordination with the AVP/VP.

Qualitative Research and Insights Translation

Lead primary and secondary research initiatives to surface emerging trends, growth opportunities, and strategic risks. Translate complex qualitative analyses, program updates, and strategic insights into clear, concise recommendations and leadership-ready narratives that enable informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.

Executive Communication Materials

Prepare high-quality executive communication materials — including presentations, storyboards, and strategic briefings — for RCEO sessions, QBPR, GEC, and strategic planning forums. Ensure materials are compelling, accurate, and tailored to senior leadership audiences.

Prioritization Frameworks and Business Planning Inputs

Develop and maintain robust prioritization frameworks, impact assessments, and business planning inputs to support resource allocation and portfolio management aligned with PLUK's strategic agenda.

Cross-Functional Coordination and Initiative Management

Coordinate across business, distribution, marketing, finance, and governance teams to gather qualitative inputs, manage initiative dependencies, and drive the progress of strategic initiatives from planning through execution.

Procurement Preparation and Vendor / Partner Assessment

Lead the preparation of procurement documentation and vendor/partner assessment frameworks for strategic projects, including scoping, RFP development, evaluation criteria design, and coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
