Job summary

TESDA in the Philippines seeks a Chief Technical Education and Skills Development Specialist to lead the Technology Research and Development Division, directing operations and shaping policy to advance TVET. Qualifications include a Master’s degree or CSC Leadership and Management certificate, plus 4 years of supervisory/management experience and 40 hours of relevant training.

• Eligibility: Career Service (Professional) / Second Level Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises and coordinates the operations and activities of the Division.
• Reviews and finalizes policy recommendations, technology research proposals, and innovation initiatives for approval.
• Provides technical services and staff advice on TVET to tech-voc institutions, industries, workers organizations, LGUs, NGOs, and stakeholders.
• Ensures active multi-sectoral participation of all concerned public and private agencies on TVET.
• Performs other related functions.
