Job summary

Genus plc in the Philippines seeks a Health Services Lead to develop and execute health strategies for customer swine operations, focusing on disease prevention, biosecurity, diagnostics, and herd health management.

The role partners with veterinarians, account teams, and internal experts to drive improvements, lead projects across multiple accounts, and deliver science-based recommendations to boost production outcomes.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required.
• Strong experience in swine health, production systems, epidemiology, diagnostics, and biosecurity.
• Knowledge of HACCP and health assurance programs; molecular diagnostics experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account managers and teams to develop plans to achieve account goals.
• Lead and develop Health Services to improve health and biosecurity programs.
• Help customers via technical services, or through their veterinarians, develop diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive plans.
• Develop health improvement plans to eliminate critical disease affecting swine health and production.
• Advocate for biosecurity with science-based practices, training, and monitoring programs.
• Support safety of the food chain and the farm’s role in it.
• Influence business strategies impacting herd health, including depopulation, expansion, and sourcing.
• Develop health strategies to improve profitability and ROI with Genus genetics.
• Communicate and implement Genus health, genetic, management and nutrition guidelines.
• Support accounts to ensure health and performance on mature and start-up farms.
• Identify and manage client health and production projects (e.g., gilt selection, feed efficiency, weaned pig output).
• Lead or participate in applied field trials or data analyses to improve production guidelines.
