K-Metart Ent. in Quezon City invites a hands-on Purchasing Assistant to join our stainless steel manufacturing team in Novaliches.

You will manage end-to-end procurement for sheets, pipes, fittings, and fabrication supplies, ensuring timely availability for production and adherence to policies. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of related experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in inventory control and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, SCM, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years purchasing/procurement experience in stainless steel, construction or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of raw material sourcing and fabrication supplies.
• Proven negotiation skills with suppliers for quality at competitive costs.
• Proficient in inventory management and production material usage monitoring.
• Familiar with government procurement rules and policies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/purchasing systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing for stainless steel items and related equipment.
• Evaluate requirements and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Monitor supplier performance for reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse to ensure material availability.
• Check inventory levels and initiate timely reorders.
• Source suppliers via catalogs, online research and industry networks; conduct vendor assessments.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies and government regulations.
• Review and improve purchasing systems and procedures for efficiency.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier contracts for audits.
