• Locate vendors of materials, supplies, equipment and services to determine availability and terms.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and services.
• Maintain up-to-date supplier information.
• Review purchase requisitions with requisitioners.
• Ensure purchase orders are properly authorized and urgent orders processed.
• Obtain quotations and place orders.
• Negotiate prices, terms with vendors for maximum value.
• Liaise with accounting to resolve invoice vs PO discrepancies.
• Issue requests for quotes/bids/tenders.
• Review bids with end users.
• Expedite orders.
• Evaluate suppliers’ performance.
