• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise with people at all levels, internal and external.
• Demonstrated organisational skills with initiative and prioritisation.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Well-developed problem-solving and administrative skills.
• Experience with purchasing processes and supplier management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Place orders with local and international suppliers.
• Track orders and shipping times.
• Follow up on outstanding orders.
• Advise department managers of expected delivery times and arrivals.
• Respond to internal requests for purchasing of goods within 24 hours.
• Source new suppliers and create contacts.
• Negotiate pricing with new and existing suppliers.
• Conduct and oversee monthly/quarterly stock takes and reporting.
