Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools, with good analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to streamline purchasing processes and maximize cost savings.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and payment terms.
• Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing requirements and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels to support decision-making and budget planning.
• Resolve supplier-related issues and address discrepancies or quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to procurement and supply chain management.
• Lead and supervise a team of purchasing professionals to ensure departmental goals are met effectively.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement and professional development.
