Job summary

Chevron Corporation in Makati City, Philippines is hiring a Category Specialist to lead procurement for the International Fuel & Lubricants business. You will manage multiple categories, drive cost improvements, and ensure compliant P2P processes across local operations.

The role requires a strong background in category management, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships, with at least 5 years in procurement and a degree in engineering, business, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain or related fields.
• At least 5 years of Procurement experience.
• Experience in terminal and/or blend plant environment would be a plus.
• Experience with category management covering category planning, contract management, supplier management and possess strong negotiation skills.
• Experience in developing / applying total cost ownership (TCO), should cost modeling and other category management techniques in strategic sourcing.
• Knowledge in commercial and financial analysis associated with procurement activities.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• E-Procurement knowledge - SAP capability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of assigned categories, including category analysis and market benchmarking.
• Develop country annual contracting plan aligned with business objectives.
• Regularly engage with stakeholders to review and prioritize projects.
• Develop procurement strategies to deliver sustainable cost savings.
• Lead negotiations and write contracts; implement agreements with suppliers.
• Provide supplier performance monitoring and drive P2P compliance.
• Support regional category managers and act as procurement advisor to stakeholders.
