Job summary

Manulife Philippines is seeking a Regulatory and Privacy Manager to support the Chief Compliance Officer in overseeing privacy laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across MP, MCBL and MFP.

The role ensures timely identification, assessment, resolution and documentation of regulatory and privacy issues, and supports the implementation of risk-based compliance and privacy controls with business units and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree; a law degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in compliance within the financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of local Insurance laws and regulations.
• Insurance qualification (e.g., LOMA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and enhancing the Regulatory Compliance Program.
• Track and summarize new laws, regulations and regulatory issuances.
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Support risk assessments and remediation plans.
• Coordinate with business units to document findings and action plans.
• Track timely completion of corrective actions and escalations.
• Maintain accuracy of compliance systems (Archer, Regulatory Reporting).
• Prepare regulatory reports, disclosures, and governance materials.
• Support privacy incidents investigation and reporting.
