Job summary

Palawan Group of Companies is seeking an IT Governance & Compliance Specialist to support IT governance, policy management, and audit readiness. The role involves coordinating policy reviews, ensuring regulatory alignment, and producing governance reports and documentation.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in IT governance, compliance, or audit support, with knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, and ISO standards. Banking or highly regulated sectors are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in IT Governance, IT Compliance, Audit Support, IT Service Management, Process Documentation, or related functions.
• Background in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Ensure alignment of IT policies with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.
• Manage governance documentation, version control, and approval workflows.
• Identify governance gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate policy reviews and stakeholder feedback.
• Conduct compliance reviews covering governance controls, policy adherence, and process compliance.
• Review supporting documents and compliance evidence.
• Prepare compliance reports and monitoring updates.
• Identify compliance gaps, control weaknesses, and corrective actions.
• Track remediation efforts and follow up with stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Coordinate audit requirements, evidence gathering, and documentation submission.
• Track audit findings and remediation action plans.
• Monitor closure of audit observations and compliance issues.
• Prepare governance reports, dashboards, presentations, and compliance summaries.
• Consolidate and maintain governance records and documentation.
• Support governance meetings, workshops, and stakeholder coordination.
• Provide governance insights and recommendations to management.
• Maintain governance and compliance records, files, and documentation repositories.
• Perform day-to-day governance administration and monitoring activities.
