Job summary

Orient Freight International, Inc. in Makati City is seeking a Procurement and Pricing Manager to source, negotiate, and convert freight and logistics rates into competitive selling rates.

You will secure market-aligned rates from airlines, shipping lines, truckers, agents, and other providers while ensuring efficient and commercially responsive pricing processes. The role focuses on rate negotiation, selling-rate development, process improvements, and timely pricing submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, customs administration, economics, finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, airline cargo, trucking, procurement, pricing, or commercial operations.
• Strong understanding of airfreight, sea freight, trucking, domestic logistics, warehousing, and local freight charges.
• Proven experience in rate negotiation, vendor management, quotation preparation, and cost analysis.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and rate analysis; experience with ERP, TMS, CRM, or freight forwarding systems is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Rate procurement and vendor negotiations with clear contracts and performance metrics.
• Develop competitive selling rates for airfreight, seafreight, trucking, and domestic logistics.
• Improve pricing workflow, templates, rate sheets, and tracking tools.
• Manage multiple rate requests and tenders with timely responses.
• Provide market intelligence to support commercial strategy and cost control.
