Job summary

The Deputy Director will be part of the leadership team of PrepVax, working with the Director to direct and operationalise programmes across vaccine development, clinical trials and people development. You will manage stakeholders and oversee administrative functions, finances, and strategic planning within a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate with collaborators, funding agencies, regulators, academia, and biomedical industry partners, and guide the team in finance and secretariat

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in regulatory, manufacturing, public health, microbiology, epidemiology, biostatistics, biological, biomedical or chemical sciences or related discipline.
• Advanced/post-graduate degrees preferred.
• Min 10-15 years of relevant experience in research, healthcare or public health-related environment.
• Experience in running vaccine development projects is a plus; CM&C or clinical trials expertise advantageous.
• Experience in overseeing handling research budgets and finance.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience managing projects independently and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of PrepVax's work.
• Shape and operationalise PrepVax's vaccine development programmes with Director and Deputy Director.
• Coordinate activities with collaborators, funding agencies, regulators, academia and industry partners locally and overseas.
• Guide the team on financial and administrative activities, including budgets, procurement, and meeting management.
