Job summary

SPP Corporation in Binan City, Laguna seeks a Chief Accountant to lead the finance team, oversee accounting operations, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting. This full-time role demands strategic insight and a strong grasp of regulatory requirements.

You will manage month-end close, liaise with auditors, and drive accuracy and efficiency across the general ledger. CPA license is required; Bachelor's degree inAccounting or related field is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA license is required and a must.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team; providing leadership, guidance and support to accounting staff.
• Implement the financial policies and procedures given by management; make proactive suggestions; provide insight to management as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and compliance with governmental and legal requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements.
• Manage reconciliations, month-end journals and month-end close.
• Prepare Monthly Financial Statements and related reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the accounting department is aligned with corporate goals.
• Assist and cooperate with auditors in their audit of Company books.
• Other duties as may be assigned by management.
