Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience in the same capacity.
• Experienced at compiling and following strict budget, strong estimating, and financial analysis skills.
• In-depth understanding of plans, materials, pricing and industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material take-off.
• Review plans or drawings and specifications.
• Maintain and update a Cost Library by analyzing historical data.
• Monitor prices of raw materials.
• Suggest alternative materials or brands to lower costs without sacrificing quality.
• Identify necessary machinery, tools, and consumables.
• Send out Request for Quotations (RFQs) and compare proposals.
