Job summary

Hospital Authority is seeking a Statistical Analyst II to support data extraction, organization, and transformation from corporate data systems. You will develop datasets for data visualization, analytics, and statistical modelling to support decision making at HA Head Office.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science or equivalent, experience with SAS/Tableau/Python/R, and knowledge of HA data platforms such as AIDA, HAMIS and CDARS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of statistical computing techniques and packages (SAS, Tableau, Python, R, GIS).
• Experience with HA data platforms (AIDA, HAMIS, CDARS).
• Knowledge of clinical coding, medical terminology and healthcare statistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Outlook).
• Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Attach final year transcript and CV in the online application.

Responsibilities

• Carry out data extraction, organisation and transformation from data warehouses.
• Perform data visualization, analytics and statistical modelling tasks.
• Follow QA procedures during statistical production processes.
• Compile statistical reports for regular and ad hoc inquiries.
• Prepare documentation on production processes and presentation materials.
• Assist literature and data source research.
• Supervise clerical staff supporting production processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by seniors.
