Job summary

1Aviation Ground Handling Team in Mactan, Cebu, is seeking a Station Loader to support baggage, cargo and mail handling at the airport ramp. The role includes build-up, loading, unloading and release of items with cabin cleaning and passenger-related tasks when needed.

The position is probationary with shifts including holidays and weekends. Applicants should be physically fit, a high school graduate, and preferably hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail to/from aircraft safely.
• Assist Equipment Operators with container dollies/ULDs.
• Perform cabin cleaning and ramp duties.
• Meet loading deadlines to ensure OTP.
• Handle special cargo safely.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE regulations.
• Attend preflight briefings and follow operational instructions.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers and airline reps.
• Report equipment issues and cargo irregularities promptly.
• Verify cargo details against AWB stickers.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of ULDs.
• Follow airport authority and airline safety protocols.

What is a Station Loader?

As a Station Loader, you play a critical role in airport ground operations. You'll be responsible for the build-up, loading, unloading, and release of baggage, cargo, and mail, ensuring everything is handled efficiently, safely, and on time. This role also includes supporting Equipment Operators, assisting with cabin cleaning, and helping with passenger-related tasks when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail to/from aircraft safely and efficiently
• Assist Equipment Operators in preparing container dollies/ULDs
• Perform cabin cleaning and related ramp duties
• Ensure On-Time Performance (OTP) by meeting loading deadlines
• Safely handle special cargo (e.g., live animals, dangerous goods, heavy/dense loads)
• Follow safety procedures and PPE regulations at all times
• Attend pre-flight briefings and comply with operational instructions
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers and airline representatives
• Report equipment issues and cargo irregularities immediately
• Verify cargo and document information for correct delivery (cross-check cargo stickers with AWB)
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of ULDs; report any damage
• Perform only authorized and trained tasks
• Follow all airport authority and airline safety/security protocols
