NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a compassionate individual who values and can deliver quality customer service for the part-time Staff Associate position at Skylawn Funeral Home in San Mateo, CA. This role involves direct interaction with client families during their time of need and is dedicated to delivering a high level of client family satisfaction. The Staff Associate will assist with the setup and facilitation of viewings, funeral services, memorial services, and other funeral operations related events and tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support funeral directors by assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth funeral and visitation services.
  • Welcome and engage with client families and guests attending services with warmth and professionalism.
  • Aid in the movement of the casketed deceased and related items within the funeral home, chapel, church, or other service locations.
  • Handle the transportation and delivery of flowers, caskets, urns, photos, and personal mementos for client families.
  • Prepare and arrange chapel or service venue, ensuring a seamless setup and thorough cleanup after the event.
  • Operate funeral-related vehicles, including hearses, and other designated transportation for processions and events.

Compensation

  • $21-24/hr.
