Job summary

Compass is embedding generative AI into its real estate platform to empower agents and clients. This security-focused role owns the AI surface security, setting standards from model to client-facing results, and collaborates with AI platform teams to ensure platform and security parity.

You will drive threat modeling for AI features, deploy real-time protections, and enforce secure tool-invocation patterns across the AI stack.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of transformer architectures and inference pipelines used in AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on experience with security engineering for production AI/ML deployments.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for building integrations and security pipelines.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Experience securing distributed AI platforms and threat modeling complex systems.
• Experience with cloud security fundamentals (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, IAM and API security.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI product security roadmap and multi-year vision.
• Perform threat modeling for AI features, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent workflows.
• Build production guardrails for real-time protections against AI abuses.
• Design blast-radius controls for autonomous agents with audit trails.
• Secure retrieval layers, data access controls, and tenancy boundaries.
• Harden the AI supply chain with third-party models and inference providers.
• Build detections and telemetry for AI-specific abuse and data exfiltration.
• Ship secure, reusable libraries and CI/CD checks for engineers.
• Advise on AI architecture decisions and translate risk into roadmaps.
