Job summary

Ubiquity seeks a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team in Manila. The role reports to the Finance and Accounting Manager of Argentina and focuses on GL reconciliations, improving the close process, and implementing SOX controls.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and familiarity with Netsuite; CPA or equivalent preferred. The environment rewards accuracy and collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in US GAAP / public company experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist in month-end close.
• Implement and improve accounting processes to shorten the close cycle.
• Develop procedures and oversee third-party bookkeepers for foreign subsidiaries.
• Support SOX internal control compliance.
• Assist with quarterly and annual external audits and prepare schedules.
