We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Officer. The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree and demonstrates a strong aptitude for financial analysis and data management. Responsibilities
  • Processes high volume of vendor invoices
  • Communicates with vendors/customers via email
  • Prepares and processes vendor payments two times a week
  • Performs vendor account reconciliation upon request
  • Follows up on account statements, vendor invoice discrepancies, and responds to vendor inquiries
  • Basic accounting knowledge to research and resolve accounting issues or discrepancies
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting customers via email
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, and miscellaneous differences are timely cleared
  • Performs customer account reconciliation upon request
  • Research customer account inquiries and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Assist in special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Accounting degree
  • Comfortable with processing high volume vendor invoices in an accounting system in a timely and accurate manner
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Accounting system: Great Plains (GP) or any ERP system

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. The employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and headset. The employee may occasionally move about the office, reach, lift up to forty (40) pounds, and operate office equipment.
