Sourcedpeople in the Philippines seeks a Tax Accountant to join a high-performing team to reconcile and prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.

You will have at least three years of experience with an Australian tax firm and have worked with businesses with AU$3–50m turnover, handling client communications and data extraction with Xero and related tools.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships and companies.
• Exposure to Australian tax matters and clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent.
• CA/CPA enrolment or pursuit is required or encouraged.

As a Tax Accountant, you will work as part of a high-performing team to reconcile and prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies. You will have at least three years of experience working with an Australian tax firm and previously worked on businesses with a turnover of between AU $3-50m.

General Tasks

• Communicate proactively with managers about the priority and progress of jobs allocated to you
• Take ownership and responsibility of tasks and jobs delegated to you, following relevant checklists and procedures to ensure adherence to established quality standards
• Prepare Business Activity Statements
• Reconcile and complete tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships
• Communicating clients to request information or clarification
• Responding to client requests promptly, proactively managing expectations if their request may take longer to fulfil than expected
• Extracting data, adjusting ledgers files, and the preparation of tax working papers
• Competently working in systems including Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Microsoft Suite, NowInfinity and Ignition.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent experience
• Have enrolled or is looking to enrol in a CA/CPA
