Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction ("SR&T") – Restructuring, Turnaround & Cost Transformation ("RTCT") practice in Southeast Asia.

Our people flourish in the unexpected. The RTCT team specialises in offering sophisticated advice and innovative solutions to companies facing corporate stress or disruption. Working with lenders, investors and senior stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs and MDs, we advise on financial restructuring / refinancing, operational restructuring, profit improvement programs, formal insolvency appointments (including Judicial Management, Receiverships and Liquidations) cash generation / working capital analysis, and large-scale complex transformational change, to protect and build value, while maximizing returns.

Responsibilities
  • Support managers in the administration of corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements, including:
    • Liquidations (CVL, MVL, Court)
    • Receiverships, Judicial Management (JM)
    • Schemes of Arrangement
    • Corporate Voluntary Arrangements (CVA)
  • Ensure timely and compliant filing of statutory filings, notices and court documents with relevant authorities.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with minimal supervision, while reporting to Managers and above.
  • Supervise, coach and review the work of analysts.
  • Assist in conducting position assessments and perform due diligence on target business.
  • Review sale and purchase agreements, legal documents and due diligence findings.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including clients, creditors, debtors, lenders, directors, shareholders, regulators, valuers, auditors, tax agents and legal advisors.
  • Assist in asset realisation, debt recovery and proof of debt exercises.
  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Escalate issues and communicate clearly with managers/senior managers in a timely manner.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines, and/or a professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in insolvency, restructuring, advisory or external audit.
