onsemi is seeking an energetic, highly organized supervisor to lead the Fab Department in our manufacturing facility. You will plan and assign work, monitor progress, and ensure fabrication targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred ECE/EE/IE/ME).
  • Minimum of 8 years of solid manufacturing experience, in senior production, engineering or managerial roles.
  • Extensive experience in the semiconductor/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and planning techniques.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on productivity, quality, cost and customer delivery.
  • Ability to lead teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and schedules the activities of a designated shift, keeping appropriate records and management informed of delivery against schedules, priorities, and problems.
  • Advises direct reports regarding administrative procedures, technical problems, and work priorities; escalates complex issues to management.
  • Strong time management to complete a variety of duties in a timely manner.
  • Ensures employee training is completed and SOPs are followed.
  • Good multi-tasking and organizational skills, prioritizing based on business needs.
  • Support optimization of fab processes and implement improvements as needed.
  • Interact with planner/buyers and management, providing updates and coordination.
  • Maintain day-to-day records and progress reports.
  • Ensure safety rules and OSHA/EPA regulations are followed.
  • Collaborate with management to meet work schedules.
  • Interview, hire, supervise, train, develop, motivate, and evaluate staff.
  • Achieve operational results through planning, coaching, monitoring, and appraising performance.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring processes and equipment, and fostering cooperation between departments.
  • Complete Quality Inspection planning and reporting of production flow.
  • Ensure equipment operation through repairs and evaluating new equipment/techniques.
  • Establish and foster a safety culture and resolve personnel issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by proactively identifying problems.

Responsibilities

  • Advises direct reports regarding administrative procedures, technical problems, and work priorities. Will recommend solutions to address and assist in the resolution of complex problems knowing when to elevate the more complex problems to management.
  • Strong time management skills to successfully complete a variety of job duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Ensures employee training is completed and that employees follow all SOP's.
  • Good multi-tasking and organizational skills and ability to prioritize based on business needs.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills to support the optimization of the fab process, and continually improve upon current processes and procedures as needed.
  • General communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, to regularly interact with and provide updates to planner/buyers, peers, and members of the management team.
  • Maintains day-to-day records and progress reports.
  • Remains current on OSHA and EPA regulations concerning facilities and safety and ensures that all safety rules and regulations are met.
  • Works with management to establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Interview, hire, supervise, train, develop, motivate, and evaluate the performance of staff.
  • Responsible for achieving operational results by communicating job expectations; planning, coaching employees monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process and equipment; monitoring direct reports and resources; implementing changes, initiating, and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes Quality Inspection planning by scheduling and assigning employees; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow of their shift
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Establishes and fosters a Safety culture and ensures compliance with safe work practices. Follows company protocols and escalation process. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Contributes to the department’s continuous improvement process. Continually looks for ways to improve process and is proactive in identifying potential problems.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering discipline, preferably Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of solid manufacturing experience, preferably in a senior production, engineering, or managerial capacity.
  • Extensive experience in the semiconductor/manufacturing industry is required.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with the following operational excellence tools but not limited to lean manufacturing and planning techniques
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on productivity, quality, cost, and customer delivery.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
