Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Group in Laguna/Cabuyao is seeking a seasoned Materials Planning leader to supervise material planners, develop MRP-based plans, and maintain optimal inventory levels for cost-effective supply.

You will collaborate with Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Warehouse to align material needs with business goals, drive process improvements, and resolve supply chain issues. Strong analytical skills and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• College graduate with BS Industrial Engineering is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years experience in materials planning, preferably in electronics.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and inventory turnover.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking.
• Experience in conducting WIP counting and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Good people handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, mentors, and trains material planners to ensure accurate and timely raw material ordering.
• Develops and implements MRP-based material plans from production schedules and forecasts to maintain inventory levels.
• Oversees inventory accuracy and manages levels to minimize holding costs and avoid shortages.
• Develops and refines processes, workflows, and procedures within the materials planning department.
• Coordinates with Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Warehouse to align material requirements with business goals.
• Resolves complex supply chain issues and escalated operational problems.
