Job description

Reports to: Director, Infrastructure & Endpoint Services

We are looking for a seasoned, hands‑on technical leader to join our team as Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Engineering. This high‑impact role is responsible for driving strategy, prioritization, and execution across systems, cloud, and network engineering. You will lead a team of five engineers and partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, and Support to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure.

The right person for this role is comfortable setting technical direction while staying close to the work; partnering directly with the team to deliver results. You thrive in environments where strong people, processes, and infrastructure matter equally.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and support the professional development and career growth of a team of five engineers spanning systems, cloud, and network disciplines.
  • Build a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, creating an environment where engineers can do their best work.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s to provide coaching, feedback, and guidance; establish clear performance expectations and accountability.
  • Manage team capacity to ensure the team is positioned for long‑term success.
  • Partner with the Director of Infrastructure & Endpoint Services to align team goals with broader organizational strategy.
Technical Strategy & Execution
  • Assess, prioritize, and drive delivery of infrastructure initiatives across systems engineering, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure.
  • Serve as a technical thought leader, contributing to architectural decisions, reviewing solutions, and participating directly in hands‑on work when needed.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Information Security to ensure infrastructure design, operations, and access management meet security and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Support team and other partner teams to act as a point of escalation for critical infrastructure issues and outages; including on‑call management.
  • Define and monitor operational metrics including service availability, reliability, incident response, and project delivery.
  • Champion automation, documentation, and process improvements to drive operational efficiency across all functional areas of the team.
  • Own and manage the infrastructure project portfolio, including intake, prioritization, planning, and delivery tracking.
  • Build and facilitate project and portfolio management practices using tools like Jira, ensuring visibility and accountability across the team.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones clearly and consistently to stakeholders, including the Director of Infrastructure & Endpoint Services.
  • Drive on‑time, high‑quality delivery by helping the team break down complex initiatives into actionable work.
What You’ll Bring
  • A proven track record of success leading infrastructure engineering teams — including hands‑on engineering experience in one or more of the following: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), systems engineering, or network infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing engineers, with a genuine commitment to mentorship and career development.
  • Strong proficiency with project and portfolio management — including practical experience with tools like Jira and the ability to build and sustain PM practices across a team.
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally with teams such as Information Security, IT Support, and business stakeholders to deliver complex infrastructure programs.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience. Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) are a plus.
Technologies and Tools

Experience or familiarity with the following tools and platforms is a plus:

  • Project Management: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow
  • Monitoring & Security: LogicMonitor, Rapid7
  • Productivity & Collaboration: Microsoft 365
  • Automation: IaC, Python, PowerShell, Bash, AWS CLI
