Job summary

Honeywell Technologies seeks an experienced HSE leader for the MX96 site in Mexico to champion Honeywell values and drive world-class HSE performance across all levels. Lead programs, coordinate with regional teams, and foster a proactive safety culture with measured results.

The role requires 5+ years in HSE leadership within manufacturing or industrial settings, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent English communication. Hybrid work model encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Health, Safety and Environmental management experience in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or industrial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards.
  • Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, compliance management and continuous improvement.

  • Lead HSE programs, initiatives, and performance metrics for the MX96 site.

  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, compliance audits, and corrective actions.
  • Analyze HSE performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement through HOS principles and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Support customer audits, regulatory inspections, and corporate assessments with timely closure of findings.
  • Develop emergency and disaster preparedness plans and effective training programs.

Job description

  • Provide support and influence senior management and all personnel within the organization to reinforce the importance of HSE leadership and ensure that HSE is prioritized alongside other business objectives.

  • Foster the development of an organizational culture centered on HSE, recognizing the current maturity level of the organization’s culture, and collaborating with managers to elevate HSE maturity.

  • Collaborate with managers across all levels to promote their ownership and leadership in HSE responsibilities.

  • Create, evaluate, and manage emergency and disaster preparedness plans.

  • Analyze data trends to monitor and report on HSE performance effectively.

  • Exhibit leadership in HSE and serve as a role model for exemplary HSE practices and behavior to peers, colleagues, and the public.

  • Lead HSE programs, initiatives, and performance metrics for the MX96 site, ensuring alignment with Honeywell standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, customers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary HSE subject matter expert, providing guidance and technical support to business teams and leadership.

  • Drive continuous improvement through Honeywell Operating System (HOS) principles, risk reduction initiatives, and implementation of best-in-class HSE practices.

  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, compliance audits, and corrective action programs to prevent injuries, environmental incidents, and business interruptions.

  • Analyze HSE performance indicators and trends, providing actionable recommendations to leadership for improving site performance.

  • Lead employee engagement activities, safety campaigns, and training programs that reinforce accountability and ownership at all levels.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions that enhance workplace safety, employee well-being, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.

  • Support customer audits, regulatory inspections, and corporate assessments while ensuring timely closure of findings and action plans.

  • Collaborate with regional and global HSE teams to deploy corporate initiatives, share best practices, and drive standardization across the organization.
