Job summary

Oriental Consultants Philippines, Inc. seeks a qualified Civil Engineer to oversee bridge and road structure supervision on major projects.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and registration as a Civil Engineer, with at least five years in bridge/road supervision. Candidates should have experience on at least two ODA projects and at least two projects in the region or comparable developing countries, ensuring quality, safety, and timely progress in construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Duly registered Civil Engineer.
• Five+ years of bridge or road/bridge construction supervision experience.
• Two or more ODA projects completed.
• Two+ projects in the region or in similar developing countries.

Responsibilities

• Check shop/working method drawings, statements and quantity estimation for bridges and related structures and recommend approval or disapproval.
• Check and approve cofferdams, crane ways, coble works, dewatering designed by the Contractor and recommend approval.
• Supervise and inspect quality, workmanship, safety and progress of bridge and structure works.
• Review Contractor's work progress and claims and report to Project Manager for required actions.

• Duly registered Civil Engineer
• Has experience of at least five (5) years in bridge or road/bridge construction supervision projects as a Bridge/Structural Engineer
• Has experience of at least two (2) ODA projects.
• Has experience of at least two (2) projects in region or similar developing countries.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check shop/working method drawings, statement and quantity estimation of bridges, overpass underpass structures, drainage box-culverts, retaining walls and other structured submitted by the Contractor and recommend the Engineer for approval or disapprove.
• Check and approve the cofferdams, crane ways, coble works, dewatering, planned and designed by the Contractor and recommend the Engineer for approval.
• Supervise and inspect the quality, workmanship, safety and progress of the bridge and structure works executed by the Engineer.
• Check the Contractor's work progress and claims and report the Project Manager (the Engineer) for taking required measures or actions.
