Job summary

Jevant Technologies is seeking a skilled Splicer to join our Electrical/Electronic Engineering team on a full-time basis in Central Luzon. This hands-on role ensures the quality and reliability of fibre optic and electrical connections for project delivery.

You will perform fusion and mechanical splicing, interpret drawings, test with OTDR, install cable trays, maintain records, and uphold safety standards while collaborating with the project team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Splicer or fibre optic installation role.
• Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fibres.
• Proficiency with fusion splicing equipment and mechanical splicing techniques.
• Experience with OTDR testing and other optical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEC safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

About the role

Jevant Technologies is seeking a skilled Splicer to join our Electrical/Electronic Engineering team on a full-time basis in Central Luzon. This is a hands-on technical role that plays a crucial part in our operations, ensuring the quality and reliability of fibre optic and electrical connections that are essential to our project delivery and customer satisfaction. As a Splicer, you will be responsible for performing precise splicing operations that meet industry standards and contribute directly to the success of our engineering projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Performing fibre optic splicing operations using fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniques
• Preparing and terminating cables in accordance with technical specifications and industry standards
• Testing spliced connections using optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) and other diagnostic equipment to ensure quality assurance
• Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and installation plans to execute splicing work accurately
• Installing and securing cable trays, ducts, and other supporting infrastructure as required
• Maintaining accurate records of splicing work completed, including test results and documentation
• Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all job sites
• Collaborating with other team members and project managers to ensure timely project completion
• Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of splicing equipment

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Splicer or in a similar fibre optic cable installation and splicing role
• Technical knowledge of fibre optic systems, including single-mode and multi-mode fibres
• Proficiency with fusion splicing equipment and mechanical splicing techniques
• Experience with OTDR testing and other optical testing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Physical fitness to perform outdoor and elevated work safely
• Valid driver's licence (preferred)
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC standards)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
