Job summary

Stealth is seeking a 2D Spine Animator to bring slot game assets to life across multiple titles. You will create dynamic animations for wilds, scatters, characters, bonus triggers, and feature sequences, ensuring fast, readable, and exciting gameplay.

Experience with Spine 2D and a background in online slots or iGaming is highly valued. You will collaborate with designers, producers, and developers, primarily working during North American/EST hours, while delivering polished, production-ready

Job description

We are looking for a 2D Spine Animator to join our slot game studio and help bring symbols, characters, bonuses, and game features to life.

This role is specifically focused on online slot games. You should understand how slot animations need to feel: fast, satisfying, readable, exciting, and optimized for repeated gameplay.

You will work closely with our artists, developers, and game producers across multiple slot titles at the same time.

What You'll Do

• Animate slot game assets using Spine 2D.
• Create animations for:
  • Wilds
  • Scatters
  • Characters
  • Bonus triggers
  • Free spin sequences
  • Collect mechanics
  • UI elements
  • Feature transitions
• Create idle, landing, anticipation, win, trigger, celebration, and transition animations.
• Rig characters and symbols cleanly and efficiently.
• Work from layered PSDs, concept art, and existing game assets.
• Collaborate with game designers and producers to make sure animations match the intended slot experience.
• Work closely with developers to ensure animations are technically clean and easy to integrate.
• Iterate quickly based on internal and client feedback.
• Maintain organized Spine project files and production-ready exports.
• Work across several slot games simultaneously.

What We're Looking For

• Strong professional experience with Spine 2D.
• Previous experience working on online slots, casino games, or iGaming is strongly preferred.

Slot Experience

You should understand how animation is used inside slot games.

You should be familiar with things like:

• Hold-and-win mechanics
• Collect mechanics
• Bonus Buy games
• Character reactions and feature animations

Experience playing or studying games from studios such as Hacksaw Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming, Push Gaming, Play'n GO, Evolution/NetEnt, or similar is a major plus.

• You must be able to work primarily during North American / EST hours.
• Strong conversational English is required.
• You will occasionally join team calls and communicate with producers, developers, and other artists.
• You should be comfortable receiving feedback directly and explaining creative decisions when needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience with After Effects.
• Experience creating or integrating 2D VFX.
• Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Understanding of animation optimization for web/mobile games.
