A leading global manufacturer located in the Philippines seeks a Tax Analyst to analyze and report on tax-related data while leading process improvements. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least 2 years of experience and possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and enhance tax technologies.
Essential Responsibilities :
Analyzes, reviews, interprets and validates the data supplied by the Business Unit and / or Financial Systems for the tax relevant financial, internal and external reporting requirements
Lead / assist with tax process improvements projects, which may include software implementation, automation, or workpaper improvement and ongoing continuous process improvement.
Identify or recommend process improvements and collaborate with other functions to align processes as necessary (i.e. with accounts receivable or accounts payable team)
Report to stakeholders on the progress of projects and other concerns
Assist in evaluating, implementing and maintaining emerging tax technologies
Help develop and deliver end user training and maintain user documentation of all trainings in latest technologies
Maintain tax automation and reporting tools
Maintain productivity and meet service level agreements in a complex environment, including working with and referencing data in taxation systems
Interact with stakeholders, customers, suppliers and internal teams in a courteous and responsible manner, to resolve issues, concerns and provide updates on projects
Interact with taxing authorities to gather information necessary for tax compliance requirements and other concerns
Assist with other projects or duties as assigned, including continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in Taxation or related field
Working knowledge in International Indirect Taxation (Sales +VAT) is an advantage
Previous experience in maintaining emerging tax technologies, troubleshooting tax technology problems and composition of tax written advice
Proficient computer skills including excellent Microsoft Excel experience (SharePoint a plus)
