Private Advertiser seeks a Special Process Project Lead to oversee engineering and leadership tasks for a new wet chemical anodizing line at a Philippines aerospace facility. You will collaborate with local and global EHS, Operations, Quality, and suppliers to ensure compliance with company specs, aerospace standards, NADCAP, and regulatory requirements.

The Special Process Project Lead is responsible for performing engineering and project leadership tasks associated with the development, installation, qualification, and delivery of a new wet chemical process line at aerospace manufacturing facility in the Philippines.
This role requires close coordination with global and local Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Operations, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure the processing line and facility comply with all applicable company specifications, aerospace industry requirements, customer specifications, local Philippine regulatory standards, and NADCAP accreditation standards.
The position is accountable for successfully implementing a safe, compliant, and production-ready operation that meets performance, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Lead the anodizing project workstream for the Philippines manufacturing facility, including monitoring project execution, reporting progress, and proactively escalating risks, technical bottlenecks, and scope issues to the Operations Project Manager. Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to ensure the facility meets all anodizing process, quality, capacity, and performance requirements.
Initiate and execute tactical engineering assignments by performing technical analyses, process evaluations, equipment assessments, and problem-solving activities to support the successful implementation and qualification of the anodizing line.
Create, develop, maintain, and control all required engineering documentation, including process specifications, operating procedures, equipment requirements, qualification protocols, process flow diagrams, risk assessments, and compliance records.
Support training and educational initiatives by developing training materials and providing technical guidance to engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance personnel involved in anodizing processes.
Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company’s specifications, aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, environmental regulations, and NADCAP accreditation requirements.
Provide long-term technical support to the Philippines facility and other company locations requiring anodizing expertise, including troubleshooting, process improvement, capacity expansion, and compliance activities.
Evaluate, propose, and recommend process improvements and equipment solutions to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, environmental compliance, safety performance, and overall manufacturing effectiveness.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, EHS, Quality, and Operations organizations to ensure successful installation, qualification, validation, and ongoing support of anodizing equipment and processes.
Support NADCAP accreditation activities, customer audits, and internal compliance assessments by ensuring processes, documentation, and records meet all applicable aerospace and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in anodizing, surface finishing, electrochemical processing, or related aerospace manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated track record of leading complex, multi-functional engineering projects involving anodizing processes , facility development, manufacturing equipment implementation, process qualification, production ramp-ups and regulatory compliance.
Strong technical knowledge of aerospace anodizing processes (e.g., Chromic Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Tartaric-Sulfuric Acid anodizing), chemical baths/ processing, surface treatment technologies, applicable customer specifications, and NADCAP requirements.
Solid understanding of local Philippines environmental and occupational safety regulations as well as global EHS standards for hazardous chemical handling and industrial effluent/wastewater treatment plant (ETP) operations.
Experience supporting new product introduction, facility start-up, process validation, commissioning, and production readiness activities.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive project execution, and influence stakeholders both within and outside of direct reporting
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent PM certification is preferred.
