Job summary

Outsourced is seeking a Solutions Developer to join our Product Development Team. This hands-on engineering role focuses on React and TypeScript, building and maintaining components for our PPM product on the Microsoft Power Platform.

You will take work items from spec through implementation, code review, and release in a small, ownership-driven team. You will work with AI coding tools and contribute to code reviews while collaborating across a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Solid production experience with React and TypeScript building complex UI.
• Fluent use of AI coding assistants and how to verify outputs.
• Experience working in a DevOps environment with Git branching and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Dataverse and model-driven Power Apps; PCF experience welcome.
• Strong communication and reliability in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain React and TypeScript components for our PPM product from spec to release.
• Develop and maintain custom components for Power Apps using PCF.
• Ensure quality: tested code, regular commits, and active PR reviews.
• Work within our DevOps process: source control, branching, CI/CD, and Power Platform deployment.
• Leverage AI tooling across coding, testing, and documentation; share learnings with the team.
• Diagnose defects and navigate unfamiliar parts of the codebase.
• Participate in R&D: prototype and share findings.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Solutions Developer to join our Product Development team, reporting to our Development Lead. This is a hands-on engineering position: the majority of your time will be spent writing React and TypeScript, building and maintaining the custom components and interfaces that make up our PPM product on the Microsoft Power Platform.

You will work from specifications and designs set by the Development Lead, taking work items from spec through implementation, code review, and release. We are a small team, so we want someone who takes real ownership of what they ship rather than waiting to be told what to do next — but the product direction, requirements, and prioritization are handled for you.

One thing we care about more than most: we want a developer who is genuinely good with AI coding tools. They are part of how this team works day to day, and we are looking for someone who already uses them well and will help us keep getting better at it.

Primary Accountabilities

• Build and maintain React and TypeScript components and interfaces for our PPM product — from specification through code review and release.
• Develop and maintain custom components for Power Apps using the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).
• Own the quality of what you ship: tested code, committed to a branch daily, and active participation in reviewing and approving pull requests.
• Work within our established DevOps process — source control, branching, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and Power Platform solution deployment.
• Use AI development tooling effectively across coding, testing, and documentation, and share what works with the rest of the team.
• Diagnose and fix defects, including reproducing issues and working through unfamiliar parts of the code base.
• Participate in research and development: investigate, prototype, and share findings with the team.

Required Skills and Experience

• React and TypeScript - Solid production experience building complex, data-dense user interfaces in React — component architecture, state management, and performance. This is the core of the job and the primary thing we will assess.
• AI-assisted development - Real working fluency with AI coding assistants. You should be able to show us how you use them, where you verify their output, and where you have learned not to trust them. Casual or occasional use is not what we mean.
• DevOps process familiarity - Comfortable working inside a proper development process: Git branching and pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and automated builds and deployments. You do not need to have owned the pipeline — you do need to have worked in one and understood what it was doing.
• Microsoft Power Platform foundation - Working knowledge of Dataverse and model-driven Power Apps, and either hands-on PCF experience or a clear track record of getting expert on a new framework quickly.
• Communication and reliability - We work as a distributed team. You need to be responsive during core hours, proactive about raising blockers, and dependable without close supervision.
