Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

• Define backend standards, API design (REST/GraphQL), and security guardrails.
• Develop MVPs and proofs-of-concept to evaluate integrations and risks.
• Outline data schemas and optimize persistence with Prisma/TypeORM, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Collaborate with DevOps for IaC (Terraform), CI/CD and Kubernetes-based deployments.

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Solutions Architect with a strong Software Engineering background and deep NestJS expertise. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and technical execution. You will be responsible for defining the blueprint of our next-generation cloud ecosystem, leading technical choices, and driving the modular design of our backend services.

Core Responsibilities

• System Design & Blueprinting: Architect and implement high-performing, scalable, and secure distributed backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

• Transition to Microservices: Guide the migration or layout of modular systems using NestJS's native transport layers (e.g., gRPC, Kafka, RabbitMQ) to support event-driven architectural patterns.

• Technical Governance: Define and enforce backend coding standards, API design principles (REST, GraphQL), security guardrails (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT), and architectural guidelines across multiple delivery squads.

• Hands-on Prototyping & PoCs: Write clean production-grade code for baseline architectures, framework extensions, and minimal viable products (MVPs) to evaluate third-party integrations and mitigate technical risks.

• Database & Cache Optimization: Outline data schemas and optimize persistence strategies utilizing enterprise ORMs (Prisma, TypeORM) paired with relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, Redis) databases.

• DevOps Alignment: Partner with DevOps teams to streamline Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD), and container orchestration layouts (Docker, Kubernetes) tailored for NestJS multi-module applications.

• Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor senior developers, conduct high-impact architecture reviews, and translate complex technical requirements into accessible plans for non-technical stakeholders.
