Role Responsibilities
The MuleSoft Solution Architect(s) will work under the direction of the client and support overall project delivery through the following activities
Delivery & Agile Participation
- Participate in Scrum team ceremonies and contribute to the creation of integration-specific technical user stories
- Provide story point estimates during sprint planning based on established standards
- Review and update API development estimates for sprint work
- Assist the Customer Project Manager in developing recovery plans when budget or schedule risks are identified
Solution Architecture & Design
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather integration and API requirements
- Design API solutions aligned with the customer’s target architecture, leveraging existing MuleSoft platform architecture and environments
- Design MuleSoft APIs and interfaces that meet functional and non-functional requirements defined in the Solution Architecture
- Review application data models, produce API schemas, define data mappings, and provide design inputs
Technical Leadership & Governance
- Act as technical team lead, providing guidance and mentoring throughout development
- Review existing API integrations and ESB services, confirming detailed requirements and effort estimates
- Ensure solution quality by enforcing best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines
- Perform Quality & Control Assurance activities across integration deliverables
- Platform, DevOps & CI/CD
- Define, set up, or ensure adherence to foundation services, including:
- Exception handling
- Logging and monitoring
- Security
- Configuration management
- Developer tooling and automation
- Ensure full utilization of the customer’s CI/CD framework for build and deployment activities
- Assist in developing standardized estimates for MuleSoft API development
Project Coordination & Risk Management
- Provide the Customer Project Manager with accurate delivery tasks, timelines, and dependencies
- Identify external integration dependencies and support their resolution
- Assess platform setup and configuration issues, providing recommendations and remediation plans
Best Practices & Continuous Improvement
- Apply industry and MuleSoft best practices based on customer needs
- Recommend appropriate technical solutions to address functional and platform challenges
- Contribute to defining and implementing system-level testing strategies for MuleSoft solutions

Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Must have minimum 7+ years of experience in Integration Solutions.
- Must have minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Must have strong working experience and knowledge of Mule 4, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint Studio, and Design Center.
- Must have experience in RAML, OAS, DataWeave 2.0, REST, SOAP, and event-driven integrations
- Must have solid understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
- Must have experience with messaging systems such as JMS, MQ, and Kafka
- Must have hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Must have knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Runtime Fabric
- Must have strong expertise in OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, TLS, encryption, and identity/access management
- Must have working knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards such as PCI and GDPR
- Must have experience and proven ability to lead, guide, and mentor technical teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple integrations and architectural decisions simultaneously
