A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE

As a Solutions Researcher, you'll be the back-office detective behind U.S. Affordable Care Act (ACA) individual health insurance plans. You'll dig into provider networks, hospitals, prescription drug formularies, and plan details, then back up every finding with solid evidence: screenshots, source documents, links, and clear written summaries. This is not a sales role. You won't be recommending plans or giving legal or medical advice. You'll report to a Senior Solutions Researcher who assigns your cases, reviews your work, and helps you work through anything unclear.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

ACA Health Plan Research

• Research U.S. ACA individual health insurance plans using approved carrier websites, provider directories, plan documents, and government resources
• Identify plans available within an applicant's state, county, ZIP code, and coverage year
• Review plan summaries, evidence-of-coverage documents, provider directories, and formulary documents, cross-checking multiple sources when required
• Follow research checklists and instructions in the required order, without substituting assumptions for plan-specific verification
• Provider Network Verification confirm whether specific physicians, specialists, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and pharmacies appear in a particular plan's network verify each provider's name, specialty, practice, address, and location against the exact plan and network (not just the carrier in general)
• Call carriers and provider offices when needed, using approved scripts, and document every call in detail
• Flag inconsistent or incomplete information to your Senior Solutions Researcher rather than guessing

Provider Network Verification

• Confirm whether specific physicians, specialists, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and pharmacies appear in a particular plan's network
• Verify each provider's name, specialty, practice, address, and location against the exact plan and network (not just the carrier in general)
• Call carriers and provider offices when needed, using approved scripts, and document every call in detail
• Flag inconsistent or incomplete information to your Senior Solutions Researcher rather than guessing

Prescription Drug Formulary Research

• Determine whether requested medications appear on a plan's current formulary, matching name, dosage, and formulation
• Identify drug tier and any restrictions, such as prior authorization, step therapy, or quantity limits
• Distinguish between brand-name and generic versions, and capture supporting evidence for every result
• Escalate unclear or conflicting information instead of guessing

Documentation and Case Records

• Enter research results accurately into company-approved templates and systems
• Capture clear screenshots and source documents, saved and named according to company standards
• Write summaries that a teammate can understand and verify, clearly distinguishing confirmed, not found, conflicting, and unresolved results
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all company privacy and data-security requirements

A BIT ABOUT YOU

Must-Haves

• At least 2 years of professional experience in research, healthcare administration, insurance operations, customer support, data processing, quality assurance, or another detail-intensive role
• Demonstrated ability to conduct careful, methodical online research
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to understand U.S. accents and communicate professionally by phone
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and documentation standards, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines
• Comfortable recognizing uncertainty, asking questions, and correcting work based on feedback
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web browsers, PDFs, screenshots, email, and shared files
• Willingness to work a U.S. Central Time-aligned night shift, currently Monday to Friday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM Philippine Time (shifting to 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM when the U.S. moves to Central Standard Time), with possible overtime in Q4

Good-to-Haves

• Experience with U.S. healthcare or health insurance, particularly ACA individual health plans
• Background researching provider networks or prescription drug formularies
• Familiarity with insurance terms such as deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, prior authorization, and step therapy
• Experience handling confidential medical, financial, or personally identifiable information
• Experience making professional calls to U.S. organizations
