Job Description for a Solar Power Systems Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solar power systems: conduct site assessments, perform engineering calculations, select and size equipment (panels, inverters, batteries, etc.), and prepare detailed design plans and specifications.
- Oversee project construction and installation: monitor and supervise the installation, ensure adherence to design specs, safety standards, and timelines, and coordinate with contractors as needed.
- Troubleshoot and maintain solar power systems: diagnose and repair technical problems, conduct routine maintenance, analyze performance data, identify improvements, and implement upgrades or modifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven expertise in electrical circuits, power systems, thermodynamics, and renewable energy technologies.
- Proficiency in engineering software for design, simulation, and analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope). Ability to perform complex calculations, interpret data, and generate detailed reports.
- Project management skills: strong organizational and time-management abilities; capable of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working within budgets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting, teamwork, project management, operations management, problem solving, communication, and risk assessment.
