Job summary

Satellite Office in Manila is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design solar PV and battery systems for commercial projects. You will produce single-line diagrams and electrical drawings in AutoCAD, and coordinate with the Australian operations team, installers, and structural engineers to ensure compliance with Australian standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in electrical engineering, strong AutoCAD skills, and experience in solar or battery system design.

Qualifications

• A degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3 to 4 years in electrical engineering, ideally solar, battery, or renewables.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and experience preparing electrical drawings.
• Solar PV or battery system design experience.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards, or a strong drive to learn them quickly.
• Clear communication with installers and engineers.
• Nice to have: SAA accreditation and distributor (DNSP) grid connection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs for solar PV and battery systems, mainly commercial.
• Produce single line diagrams and electrical drawings in AutoCAD or similar.
• Build distributor grid requirements into each design.
• Review site inspection data and ask installers for more information when needed.
• Work with structural engineers on larger systems.
• Check designs against Australian standards.
• Keep design records, drawing revisions, and templates up to date.
