Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking a Software Quality Engineer II in Taguig City, Philippines. You will test, design, support and deploy advanced technology solutions for life insurance business applications. The role emphasizes automation, QA governance, and collaboration across agile teams in a dynamic environment.

You will contribute to test automation, review test scripts, and mentor junior engineers while leveraging Tosca/Selenium/Cucumber workflows and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced engineering, system administration, QE support & testing for small projects.
• Understanding of Life Insurance concepts applied to business apps.
• Design high-level automation scripts using existing tools/frameworks.
• Utilize multiple SDLC/ deployment methodologies with secure coding and agile practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive implementation.
• Act as a test scripts reviewer to ensure optimal test solutions.
• First point of contact to resolve QE-related impediments.
• Experience across testing, QE, and support activities.
• Contribute to test automation for regression suites.
• Experience with two or more test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Tosca, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, ReadyAPI, Rest Assured) and DevOps/Cloud tooling (JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
