Are you a backend engineer who enjoys building reliable, scalable systems? At Maya, our Platform Engineering team creates the internal platforms that help engineers build and deliver products faster.

We’re looking for an Platform Engineering Manager to design core services, shape system architecture, and lead through hands‑on engineering. You’ll focus on performance, resilience, and long‑term scalability while improving how teams build and operate software.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a key technical leader in our Platform Engineering team, you will:

• Build Internal MicroSaaS Platforms. Architect, develop, and maintain high‑reliability developer platforms using Java and Python.
• Integrate AI Where It Matters Most. Identify smart opportunities to embed AI—automated code reviews, predictive scaling, intelligent documentation, and more—to transform platform velocity.
• Partner With Internal Engineering Stakeholders. Treat engineering teams as your customers. Understand their needs and deliver platforms that elevate their productivity end‑to‑end.
• Design Scalable AWS Infrastructure. Ensure our internal systems remain secure, resilient, and future‑ready.
• Experiment With Emerging Tech. Prototype new tools, frameworks, and models—deciding what makes it to production and what stays in the lab.
• Lead & Mentor. Guide engineers in backend excellence, architectural thinking, and modern AI implementation.
