Job summary

Jobtailor in Metro Manila, Philippines, seeks a software engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance business applications. You will participate in Agile teams, write code, perform testing, and provide production support.

Strong Java/SQL/JavaScript skills are essential, with experience in Spring Boot, APIs, and CI/CD. You will collaborate with architects to build scalable, reliable systems and communicate progress clearly.

Qualifications

Experience with Java, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
Experience with scalable, high-availability back-end database technologies, primarily SQL Server.
Experience building microservices with Spring Boot and building/calling APIs.
Experience with non-relational databases such as Memcached, MongoDB, or Redis is a plus.
Strong JavaScript back-end development experience with Angular, Node, or similar frameworks.
Front-end development experience with HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, accessibility, and responsive layouts.
UI/UX development experience.
Experience with insurance/reinsurance systems and data.
Strong understanding of server-side software, scalability, performance, and reliability.
Understanding of the OSI model, networking, operating-system layers, and services.
Understanding of continuous delivery tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Salt.
Understanding of continuous integration and deployment tools such as Octopus Deploy and Jenkins.
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, Windows, IIS, Linux, Tomcat, JBoss, Visio, T-SQL, SSIS, and shell scripting
