Job summary

Arch Global Services (Philippines) Inc. is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain the backend of our applications using .NET Core, Azure, microservices, SQL, and AKS.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. The ideal candidate will ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness; identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and help maintain code organization and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar.
• Proven ability to learn new business concepts and technologies.
• Experience with .NET Core / C# and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, and JIRA.

The Position: We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in .NET Core, Azure, microservices, SQL, and AKS. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend of our applications.

Tasks/Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend of our applications using .NET Core, Azure, microservices, SQL, and AKS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Understand functional requirements.
• Design and code current and the new business functionality in the strategic platform.
• Ensure solutions conform to best practice design.
• Strong communication and team-working skills.
• Pro-active and cooperative attitude.
• Managing deployment of applications.
• Excellent analytical ability and keen interest in learning new platforms and technologies.
• Experience in Insurance/Reinsurance domains will be an added bonus.

Required Skills/Experience

• Learning and problem-solving attitude - Ability to learn new business concepts and technology.
• Front-end technology - Knowledgeable in front-end technologies including JavaScript framework React JS, CSS, and HTML5; nice to have.
• Development languages - Knowledge of server-side programming languages such as .NET (using C#) on .NET Core / .NET 5.0.
• Entity Framework - Expertise and hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core, using either Database First or Code First approach.
• Database technology - Familiarity with DBMS technology and SQL Server; working knowledge of database queries, stored procedures, other database objects, and SQL Server SSIS packages/jobs for system integration.
• Basic design ability - Knowledge of UI and basic prototype design. Server-side and API design and implementation patterns are required.
• DevOps - Experience with Git repositories and build/deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and JIRA.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis, design, and design patterns.
• Experience with multi-threaded applications using asynchronous and event-driven programming.
• Azure Cloud experience - Experience deploying Web Apps and APIs on Azure workloads using Azure Web App, App Service Plan, or Azure Kubernetes Service; experience with containers and container registries.
• Strong experience in microservices, SQL, and AKS.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education

• Minimum of a 4-year degree in an Information Technology field or a similar discipline.
