Job summary

Avaloq is seeking a Software Engineer to join the CRM, CLM & Compliance team. You will work across the full software development lifecycle—analysis, development, testing, and deployment—in an agile environment with analysts and developers.

The role emphasizes clean code, code reviews, debugging in production, mentoring peers, and estimating tasks for sprints. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are offered to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in programming languages, such as PL/SQL, with eagerness to learn and take up new challenges
• Strong understanding of database systems and SQL
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development best practices
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently
• It would be a real bonus if you have Avaloq Certification
• Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL
• Knowledge of the banking industry, including products and processes

Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth
• Contribute to the planning and estimation of development tasks and sprints
