Job Description

• Company: NIPPON LIFTS ENGINEERING INC. (NLE), based in Yokohama Japan which develops Remote Observation and Control Systems for Elevators (ROCS), is in urgent need of Software Development Engineers and Azure Cloud Engineers to enhance our R&D team in the Philippines.
• Objectives: Working together with other engineers of the R&D Team in order to develop and introduce new products in the fastest and most efficient way to delight our customers in Japan.
• Profile: Philippine nationality with a good command of English. The applicant shall be able to engineer and implement innovative and reliable software solutions. With skills, knowledge or strong interest in the following areas. Preferably with at least 1-3 years work experience in related field.
• The applicants shall be target-oriented and self-driven from task initiation to implementation. Furthermore, a good skill set in project management is appreciated.
• Designing, writing, testing and implementing new software programs
• Analyzing existing systems and identifying areas for improvements
• Maintaining systems by identifying and correcting software defects
• Creating technical specifications and test plans
• Writing technical documentation
• Testing products and functions
• Interacting with the R&D team in Japan
• Consulting colleagues concerning software systems
• Participating in design reviews and other meetings
• Reporting activity progress to Project Leader
• Traveling to Japan if project activities require it
• Support for other activities
• Azure Cloud administration and monitoring
• Perform regular Azure operations to maintain system availability and reliability
• Testing and troubleshooting of Web applications, PC software, mobile apps that interact with Azure cloud
• Investigation of solutions to problem areas and issues. Interact with partners and Microsoft support for prompt solution to problems
• Development and programming of PC software, databases, and web applications, as well as internet cloud and mobile applications

Qualifications and Skills

• Qualifications: University degree in Computer Science/Engineering, IT or related fields
• Familiarity with Azure administration and operations, Python, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Flask, Cerberus, Marshmallow, Angular, Node.js, OpenAPI Generator, C#, XAML, UWP, Xamarin, Flutter
• Preferably with at least 3 years work experience in related field
• The applicant shall be target-oriented and self-driven from task initiation to implementation. Furthermore, a good skill set in project management is appreciated
