Job summary

NORTH TREND MARKETING CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Software Developer with strong PHP and Laravel expertise to build and maintain web-based applications and internal systems supporting our business operations in Cebu City.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in software/web development, solid PHP/Laravel experience, and proficiency in MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with MVC and Linux/server environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software/web development.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel Framework.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel Framework.
• Design and implement software solutions that meet technical specifications and business requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Document code, technical specifications and development processes for future reference.
• Contribute to optimization and refactoring of existing code to improve performance and maintainability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development practices.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel Framework.
• Design and implement software solutions that meet technical specifications and business requirements
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency and adherence to best practices
• Document code, technical specifications and development processes for future reference and team collaboration
• Contribute to the optimisation and refactoring of existing code to improve performance and maintainability
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices
• Support the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software/web development.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel Framework.
• Proficient in MySQL/database management and writing optimized SQL queries.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, object-oriented programming, and software development principles.
• Experience with Linux/server environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• SAP experience is a plus
