Job summary

Kanlong Foundation for Differently-abled Children Inc. is seeking a compassionate educator for a role that blends direct instruction with social-emotional support and case management for students with diverse disabilities.

You will design individualized educational plans, deliver adapted core subjects and life skills, conduct counseling, and collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to promote learners' development and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work is required.
• Registered Social Worker (RSW) credential is required.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, training, or learning facilitation is preferred.
• Experience with children or persons with disabilities is advantageous.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, documentation, and case management skills are essential.
• Willingness to facilitate classroom and life skills activities.
• Willingness to conduct field visits and participate in community-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement individualized educational plans tailored to students with diverse disabilities.
• Prepare appropriate lesson plans, activities, and learning materials.
• Teach adapted core subjects, life skills, and functional academics for exceptional learners.
• Teach and facilitate learning, developmental, and life skills activities.
• Monitor and document student performance, adjusting methods to maximize learning.
• Offer individual and group counseling sessions to support emotional well-being.
• Develop positive behavioral support strategies and social skills training in the classroom.
• Provide immediate support during mental health or behavioral emergencies to maintain safety.
• Provide social work services, case management, assessment, and monitoring of beneficiaries.
• Conduct home visits and interviews to align home environments with school interventions.
