Job summary

Moncrief Construction is seeking a Social Media Manager in the Philippines to own content planning and create engaging posts. The role is remote, part-time, ~10 hours per week, with potential to grow into ownership of the function.

You will manage calendars, coordinate with field and office teams, and turn raw updates into polished social content, including short-form videos, captions, and graphics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional social media management experience.
• A portfolio is required with examples or links to managed content.
• Demonstrated ability to independently plan and manage social media content.
• Strong initiative and judgment; can identify what needs to be done without detailed instructions.
• Strong writing and communication skills in English.
• Experience developing content calendars and managing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Own the Content Planning Process: develop and maintain a social media content calendar aligned with priorities and projects; anticipate upcoming content needs; communicate requests clearly; generate content ideas; highlight projects, team, culture, and behind-the-scenes work.
• Create and Manage Content: turn raw content into engaging posts; create and edit short-form videos including Reels; write captions; create graphics with Canva; schedule and publish content across Instagram and Facebook; repurpose content and maintain asset library.
• Build Toward Ownership: gradually take ownership of day-to-day social media; suggest strategy improvements; monitor comments; track performance; stay current with trends; learn brand voice to make independent decisions.

About Moncrief Construction

Moncrief Construction is a residential construction company based in Park City, Utah. We are looking for an experienced, proactive Social Media Manager in the Philippines to help build and manage our social media presence.

This is not simply a posting or content scheduling role. We are looking for someone who can gradually take ownership of our social media function, bring creative ideas to the table, and proactively work with our team to capture the content needed to tell the Moncrief Construction story.

The ideal candidate will be able to look ahead at the content calendar, identify what content is needed, communicate those needs to our field and office teams, and turn raw photos, videos, and project updates into polished, engaging social media content.

What You'll Do

Own the Content Planning Process

• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar aligned with company priorities and projects
• Look ahead at upcoming content and proactively identify what photos, videos, project updates, and short clips are needed
• Communicate clear content requests and direction to the Moncrief team so they know what to capture in the field
• Develop content ideas rather than relying entirely on the team to provide them
• Identify opportunities to showcase projects, craftsmanship, team members, company culture, and behind-the-scenes work

Create and Manage Content

• Turn raw photos, videos, and project updates into engaging social media content
• Create and edit short-form videos, including Reels
• Write clear, engaging captions that reflect the Moncrief brand
• Create graphics and other visual content using tools such as Canva
• Schedule and publish content consistently across platforms such as Instagram and Facebook
• Repurpose existing content into different formats and posts
• Maintain an organized library of social media assets

Build Toward Ownership

• Gradually take ownership of the day-to-day social media function
• Recommend improvements to the content strategy based on performance and audience engagement
• Monitor comments and messages and flag items requiring the team’s attention
• Track basic social media performance and provide regular updates
• Stay current with relevant social media trends and identify opportunities that make sense for the Moncrief brand
• Learn the company’s projects, team, customers, and brand voice and use that knowledge to make increasingly independent decisions

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of professional social media management experience
• A portfolio is required. Please provide examples or links to social media accounts, campaigns, graphics, videos, or other content you have managed or created
• Demonstrated ability to independently plan and manage social media content
• Strong initiative and judgment, with the ability to identify what needs to be done without waiting for detailed instructions
• Experience developing content calendars and managing social media schedules
• Strong writing and communication skills in English
• Experience creating and editing short-form video content
• Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook
• Experience with Canva and social media scheduling or management tools
• Strong attention to detail and brand consistency
• Ability to take raw content and turn it into polished, engaging posts
• Organized and able to manage deadlines independently
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup
• Comfortable working approximately 10 hours per week with the potential to take on greater ownership over time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with construction, remodeling, architecture, interior design, real estate, or other home-related businesses
• Experience creating content for a U.S.-based business
• Experience with Instagram Reels and other short-form video formats
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting
• Experience proactively directing a team or client on the content they need to capture
